Pagan Fire includes some of the best known artists in the genre such as Bathory, Enslaved, Amon Amarth, Bal-Sagoth and Turisas along with some lesser known and up and coming bands like Korpiklaani and Falkenbach. It's very cool that there are artists from many different labels on the compilation, not just those on Nuclear Blast.
The DVD has 9 tracks and there is some overlap between artists, but none of the same songs are on both the CD and DVD. Pagan Fire is a great compilation CD for current fans of viking/folk metal to have a collection of many different bands in one package. It's also perfect for people wanting to explore the genre, where they will find 15 different bands to discover.
