Pagan's Mind - God's Equation

Limb Music
Norway is best known for its black metal bands, but like any country it has all types of genres. Pagan's Mind is a Norwegian progressive metal band. God's Equation is the group's fourth studio album.

Pagan's Mind have everything you'd expect from a progressive metal band: soaring melodies, complex arrangements, atmospheric keyboards and extended instrumental sections. They also aren't afraid to show a little edge with heavy guitars and a more aggressive attitude on some of their songs.

God's Equation is a really diverse CD as well. Pagan's Mind displays elements of prog, power, thrash and industrial metal. They even tackle the David Bowie song "Hallo Spaceboy," and do a nice job with it. Vocalist Nils K. Rue shows a lot of range and versatility, singing with more of an edge on the aggressive songs and belting it out on the melodic tracks. This is a very well rounded and well done progressive metal CD.
