Ratt - Tell The World: The Very Best Of RattRhino Records
2007 is shaping up to be a good year for Ratt. After being away from the band for several years, lead singer Stephen Pearcy is "Back For More" and Ratt is touring with Poison this summer. I had the chance to see them in Charlotte not too long ago. They also have a new DVD called Videos From The Cellar: The Atlantic Years along with this compilation.

Tell The World: The Very Best Of Ratt is a collection of the band's greatest hits like "Round And Round," "Lay It Down" and "Lack Of Communication" along with a couple previously unreleased songs and an unplugged version of "Way Cool Jr." The unreleased songs are decent, but they aren't smash hits or anything (there's a reason they were unreleased).

This CD is similar to 1991's Ratt & Roll 8191. "Dangerous But Worth The Risk" and "City To City" were not on that previous greatest hits collection, but are on the new one. Conversely, "Tell The World" and "You Think You're Tough" were on Ratt & Roll 8191 aren't on this one. Personally I like the songs on Tell The World: The Very Best Of Ratt a little better, and that along with the newly released songs make it a worthwhile addition to the Ratt fan's collection.
