Resident Evil: Extinction Soundtrack

Lakeshore Records
The latest installment of the Resident Evil movie series is hitting theaters. The science fiction/horror franchise is based on the video game series, and this movie stars Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter and Ashanti.

Resident Evil: Extinction Soundtrack consists of songs exclusive to the soundtrack. It's a combination of original songs, remixes and portions of the movie score. The artists are mainly metal, hardcore and industrial, and the songs fit in well with the movie's vibe and concept.

The soundtrack includes original songs from Shadows Fall, Throwdown, Chimaira, It Dies Today, Poison The Well and others. The remixes feature artists such as Flyleaf, Bayside and Aiden. There's also a cover of the classic Jefferson Airplane song "White Rabbit" from Collide, which is a trippy remake/remix. The interludes of the score from composer Charlie Clouser add atmosphere and continuity to the album. Obviously if you've seen the movie the songs will have more appeal, but on its own this is a solid metal/hardcore compilation.
