On the same day Gorgoroth's latest CD was released in North America, so was Sahg's debut. What's the connection? King Ov Hell, who just left Gorgoroth, is also a member of Sahg. (Jothunspor, another band King's a member of also released their CD that day).
The two bands are musical oceans apart. Sahg's style is doom metal straight out of the Black Sabbath songbook. The vocals even sound a bit like Ozzy. But Sahg also incorporates some progressive influences amongst the doom. The songs have a great groove, and a vibe that's part retro, part modern. Doom and stoner metal fans will definitely want to check this one out.
