This is a compilation album with material from Society 1's first two albums, Slacker Jesus and Words As Carriers. There are also a couple cover songs and a new single.
On their early material the band's sound combined nu-metal and industrial, and you'll hear simiilarities to artists like Korn, Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson. Grungy riffs, screaming yells and spoken word vocals make for a dark and intense collection.
Also included with the CD is a bonus DVD. There is a video of the new single, a documentary about the band, and a lot of backstage and candid material. And since frontman Matt Zane is also an acclaimed porn director (Backstage Sluts series), there are plenty of scantily clad ladies on the DVD as well.
