This CD is the first U.S. release for the Australian one-man black metal outfit Striborg. It includes 5 new songs, and the rest is a demo from 1997. The new stuff is far superior to the old, in both song and production quality.
Striborg's sound is minimalist, with buzzing guitars and a dark atmosphere. His vocals are a lot lower pitched than most black metal vocalists, but they are still done in the traditional raspy delivery. If you're a fan of old school underground black metal you might like this, but for the vast majority this is not an essential listen.
