Time Requiem - The Optical IllusionCandlelight Records
It's always interesting to see how a band is described in the CD's press materials and then see how accurate it is. Time Requiem is characterized as "neoclassical progressive film musical metal." That's actually a pretty apt description of their sound.

The songs on The Optical Illusion are dramatic, lengthy and epic. The arrangements are progressive with a lot of tempo changes and musical ebbs and flows. There are many guitar and keyboard solos and the musicianship is outstanding. The vocals are strong with the usual power metal style vibrato and wide range. It gets a little melodramatic and over the top at times, but if you like progressive and neo classical metal you'll want to check this out.
