V:28 is a Norwegian band, and Violution is the third CD of a trilogy with the concept being about how humanity and the planet Earth come to an end.
The songs on Violution are industrial metal with black and death metal influences. The keyboards, samples and drum machine make for a cold, bleak sound with ominous guitars adding another layer of menace. V:28 changes things up well, going from fast and aggressive songs to ones that are slower and groovier.
The vocals are aggressive rasps with varying pitches. Guests on the album include Kristoffer Garm Rygg (Ulver), MZ.412, Ghost (G.G.F.H.), Mike VanPortfleet (Lycia) and Peter Nyström (Negru Voda). Violution is a well done extreme metal CD.
