Valient Thorr's sophomore album is a blast from the past, but also contains a lot of things that are completely relevant to what's going on now, especially their lyrics. They are a biting criticism of what's going on in the world today.
The music, on the other hand, is the perfect soundtrack for a party. It blends metal, southern rock, stoner rock and classic rock into a grungy amalgamation of Motorhead, Thin Lizzy, Black Sabbath, MC5, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Nashville Pussy. Thick guitars and catchy riffs are topped with Valient Himself's raspy, raw vocals. Valient Thorr is a band that's very politically aware, but is also able to have a good time.
