Guide Review - Atheretic - Apocalyptic Nature Fury

This is one crushing album. The Canadian death metal band Atheretic put the pedal to the metal and unleash a barrage of roaring lyrics and maniacally fast music. Alexandre Leblanc's vocals are quintessential death metal, angry and evil.

Most of the songs are really fast, but they are also really complicated with a lot of difficult vocal phrasings and complex song structures. Atheretic is able to change tempos and by slowing down a couple songs make it a little more diverse and listenable. My one complaint is that on some songs the drums are way up in the mix, almost drowning out the guitars and vocals.

If you like your death metal technical and brutal, you can't go wrong with this album.
