Guide Review - The Autumn Offering - Embrace The Gutter
On their sophomore album the Florida band delivers a dose of metal that's part modern and part old school thrash. The guitar riffs are big and thick and down tuned. There are also a lot of solos, which are skillfully done and avoid becoming self-indulgent.
Miller's vocals are harsh and delivered in a hardcore style. He tries to sing melodically in a few parts while keeping the rasp, which sounds a bit odd. A little more variety in tempo would be nice, but all in all this is a very solid album.
