Guide Review - Bloodshoteye - An Unrelenting Assault

A female doing death metal style vocals is pretty rare, and an extreme band with a female vocalist will draw some extra attention. But Jessica Desjardins is no novelty act. Her death metal growl is angry and intense. She also uses some spoken word and melodic vocals for added diversity. Alex Erian from Despised Icon appears as a guest vocalist on one of the songs as well.

Bloodshoteye is a metalcore band with death metal influences. There are a lot of blast beats and breakdowns alongside death metal guitar riffs. There are even some progressive sounding instrumental sections and solos on a couple songs. They have a lot of different influences, from Slayer to Hatebreed to Killswitch Engage.
