Guide Review - Dog Fashion Disco - Adultery

This is a really difficult album to categorize. Dog Fashion Disco is an unusual band that combines everything from jazz to metal. It's experimental, it's complex and most of all it's diverse.

This is also a concept album, which is a great way to tie together the many different influences into one storyline. The use of so many different styles of music makes for an interesting album, but having a country song and a jazz song in amongst metal songs may be too much for some to fathom.

Dog Fashion Disco calls their music "movie metal," which is a pretty good description. It is very melodramatic and atmospheric and does sound like the soundtrack to a really twisted movie. If you're a fan of groups like Faith No More and like unusual combinations of genres (like lounge and metal) you might want to check this one out.
