Guide Review - Dysrhythmia - Barriers and Passages

Instrumental metal bands aren't uncommon these days, but there's no real danger of oversaturation like with some other genres. Dysrhythmia is hard to spell, but their music is easy to enjoy. The band's musicianship is outstanding. There are no vocals to distract the listener, so the attention is one hundred percent on the music.

Dysrhythmia is versatile as well. Some songs are very technical and in the math metal area. Others are progressive and very groovy. It's a good mix of experimentation and technical expertise. If you think instrumental music is boring, you're missing the boat. This album combines metal, prog rock, punk and even some jazz into a sound that's anything but boring.
