Guide Review - Various Artists - Headbangers Ball: The Revenge
MTV2's "Headbangers Ball" has helped keep metal in front of the masses. Even though their playlist isn't as diverse as some would like, it still gives metal bands a great venue for their videos. And they've outdone themselves on their latest compilation. There are some really big name artists and most of the genres of metal are represented. The songs are from 2004 through 2006 and are mostly album cuts. There are also a couple live songs and an unreleased track or two.
The artists on the compilation are a virtual who's who of metal, and they include Slipknot, Korn, Iron Maiden, Mudvayne, Avenged Sevenfold, HIM, Trivium, Lamb Of God, Disturbed, Lacuna Coil, Mastodon, Killswitch Engage, In Flames, Bullet For My Valentine, Arch Enemy, Opeth, God Forbid and many more. Even better, the double disc set is priced the same as a single CD.
