Guide Review - Iron Fire - Revenge

It's been five years since we've heard from the Danish power metal band Iron Fire. In that time they had a complete lineup change, with only vocalist Martin Steene remaining from the last album.

This album is power metal by the numbers. It has soaring choruses, majestic lyrics and plenty of guitar solos. Martin Steene has a good power metal style voice, with plenty of vibrato.

There are a couple songs on the album that really grab your attention. "Savage Prophecy" is a great song with catchy hooks and is very memorable. Unfortunately many of the songs on the album are very generic and just don't stand out. The album as a whole is decent, but Iron Fire has the potential to be spectacular, not just solid.
