Guide Review - Luca Turilli - The Infinite Wonders Of Creation

On his latest solo release Rhapsody guitarist Luca Turilli has chosen the theme of nature. It's an ambitious conclusion to his solo album trilogy. The album is epic in scope and sound, blending orchestral and symphonic music, operatic and melodic vocals and metal guitar riffs.

This album is heavily influenced by classical music with a lot of strings and choral arrangements. There are also a lot of unusual and experimental keyboard sounds and melodies and of course the metal guitar that make it much more than a classical album. The vocals are a combination of melodic male and female singing and female operatic vocals.

The songs are impressively composed and the musicianship is superb, but it goes over the top in places. There also needs to be a few more hooks to make the songs more memorable.
