Guide Review - Machinemade God - The Infinity Complex

Musically Machinemade God is solid. They have some catchy riffs and you'll find yourself nodding along to the groove. The German band plays metalcore with the usual breakdowns, Swedish melodic death influenced music and screaming hardcore vocals.

The band's musicianship really comes through on the instrumental track "Butterfly Coma," which is halfway through the album and provides a nice interlude. The rest of the songs are good, but don't really stand out from the 8 zillion other metalcore bands. The riffs are solid, but a few more memorable hooks and choruses are needed for them to step up to the the next level. And this is their debut album, so I'm sure they'll grow and evolve on the next one.
