Guide Review - Of Graves And Gods - Slit Throat Andromeda

On their debut album, New Mexico's Of Graves And Gods shows a lot of raw talent. Their music is a combination of melodic death metal, hardcore and metalcore. There are some really catchy riffs along with the requisite breakdowns.

The vocals on the album range from death metal growls to hardcore yells to almost black metal screeching. There are also some spoken word vocals thrown in. The vocals are diverse in style, but the delivery is similar.

There's a lot of good stuff here, but nothing that's great or stands head and shoulders above the crowd.
