Guide Review - Sinai Beach - When Breath Escapes Review

After the success of their 2005 Victory Records album Immersed, the label decided to re-release Sinai Beach's first record. Their debut album leaned more toward the hardcore side of metalcore. It's filled with everything you'd expect from a metalcore album, from screaming vocals to breakdowns to metal riffs. It's also a pretty short album, clocking in at less than 30 minutes.

The songs on the album were good, but nothing out of the ordinary. The melodic vocals could use some work. They are off key in several places and not very strong or powerful. The screaming vocals, on the other hand, are very good. They are raw and emotional with enough variety in delivery to make it more palatable. If you were a fan of Sinai Beach's last album, it might be worth your while to check this one out.
