Guide Review - Yyrkoon - Unhealthy Opera
On their latest album Yyrkoon has slowed the tempo down a little. There's no loss of intensity whatsoever, it just showcases the band's musicianship more and makes it sound a little more technical.
Yyrkoon's style of death metal has a groovy, thrash metal influence. It's brutal, but catchy as hell. The vocals are extremely harsh and evil sounding. Lyrically they are influenced by the horror author H.P. Lovecraft. The epic lyrics, melodic solos and old school death metal make for a potent album.
