When going to a show specifically to see the headliner, the question of the quality of the openers is always paramount: do you, as a metal fan with a full schedule and only so much time to go see shows, want to risk wasting your precious free time on a bunch of hacks pulled together by the tour promoter to fill the time slots? The choice is up to you, of course, but there are definitely exceptions that lower the risk: headliners that choose their openers with care, crafting an evening of entertainment well-worth seeing all the way through.

If the second time is the charm, then The Sword are definitely a member of that pantheon: for the second time in less than a year, they headlined in the New York City area. This time at Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg with two excellent choices as openers.
