The first disc is Opeth playing their classic 2001 CD Blackwater Park in its entirety. The second DVD is 8 other tracks spanning the band's career, including “Forest Of October from 1995's Orchid all the way to “The Lotus Eater” from their latest CD, 2008's Watershed. The 16 songs on the two discs give the viewer 3 hours of Opeth enjoyment.
There is also some bonus material in addition to the Royal Albert Hall show. Frontman Mikael Akerfeldt answers questions submitted by fans, which provides some interesting insight. There is also a tour documentary showing behind the scenes footage from meet and greets, the tour bus and Opeth just hanging out. It's entertaining, and shows the band as a bunch of regular guys, without the massive rock star egos of some musicians.
In addition to the regular 2 DVD edition, there's a 5 disc set with the 2 DVDs and 3 audio CDs of the show. For the hardcore Opeth fan, there's a limited edition vinyl box set with the DVDs, four LPs, a lithograph, 20 page booklet and other goodies.
Even though Opeth just released a live DVD a couple of years ago, In Live Concert At The Royal Albert Hall is a worthwhile purchase. The Blackwater Park performance is the main drawing card, but there's plenty of other enjoyable material as well.
