The 90 minute concert on the DVD was recorded on October 30th, 2004 in Stockholm, Sweden in front of an adoring sold out crowd. The majority of the material is taken from their classic The Somberlain and Storm Of The Light's Bane albums.
The audio and video quality on the DVD are excellent, with both Dolby and DTS audio options. The band sounds great, and Nödtveidt commands the stage.
The extras on the DVD are pretty sparse, with a video and photo gallery. However, the 25 minute interview with Jon Nödtveidt is very interesting. He has been an elusive figure, and he sheds a lot of light on the band and his time in prison in the interview. After their latest CD Reinkaos received lukewarm response, Nödtveidt announced he would be ending Dissection. If that is the case, this DVD is a fitting and worthy tribute to an important black metal band.
