The 2 disc DVD was filmed in various places across the world during their 2007-2008 tour to support Systematic Chaos. Parts of concerts from the Netherlands, Canada, Thailand, Argentina and the United States are shown.
The 14 tracks (which include an intro and keyboard solo) are interspersed with interviews and backstage footage. Almost half the songs are from Systematic Chaos, along with songs from various stages of Dream Theater's career. Chaos In Motion wraps up with a 20 plus minute medley of a handful of songs.
The second DVD is bonus material, the highlight of which is the 90 minute documentary "Behind The Chaos On The Road." It chronicles the band's journey around the world for the tour. Also included are several videos, a photo gallery, and a stage and backstage tour from Mike Portnoy.
There's tons of material on Chaos In Motion, and the audio and video quality are excellent. It's not an essential DVD, but it's a nice snapshot of the band circa 2007-2008.
