The inaugural Gigantour was a big success in the summer of 2005. Organized by Megadeth's Dave Mustaine, the festival tour's first trek was captured on this 2 DVD set.
There are over 90 minutes of live performances on the set, including songs by Dream Theater, Life Of Agony, Dry Kill Logic, Bobaflex, Fear Factory, Nevermore, Symphony X and the festival headliners Megadeth. There's also a plethora of interesting bonus material including backstage hijinks, behind the scenes footage and interviews.
The audio and video quality are very good. The only negative is that a couple of bands (Dillinger Escape Plan and Anthrax) that appeared on Gigantour aren't included on the DVD, although a couple Anthrax songs are included on the companion CD set. This is an excellent DVD with good live performances and very entertaining bonus footage.
