Band History:
The Swedish heavy metal band Evergrey got their start in 1995. Their debut The Dark Discovery was released in 1998. Vocalist Tom S. Englund is the lone remaining original member. Evergrey has released consistently good and well received albums over the years. The band plays a mix of progressive and power metal.

Evergrey's 2003 CD is excellent dark progressive/power metal. It's one of the band's most intense efforts, but also has plenty of melody and hooks.
