Chad Bowar: What are the largest and smallest crowds you've played in front of?
Hamilton Jordan: The smallest was maybe four in Cincinnati once in 2006. We actually don't have a story about playing in front of zero people. I'm pretty sure there has always been at least one paid attendee at every show we've ever played. The largest was in Toronto in December, when we played to a packed Opera House with Dillinger Escape Plan. About 900 were at the show. Not sure how many people were there when we played, but it was definitely a ton.

What was the first concert you attended as a fan?
My parents took me to shows ever since I was a toddler. I think I saw Willie Nelson when I was 2, and I saw Michael Jackson's "Bad" tour when I was 4. The first rock show I saw was Weezer on the Blue Album tour at the Masquerade in Atlanta. I guess I was about 10 or 11.

Any tour horror stories?
In the summer of 2005, we flipped our car driving through New Mexico at 3:00 in the morning. We were going 70 MPH and swerved and rolled off the highway. Our car and trailer were destroyed and the tour was canceled. Miraculously no one was hurt. That was definitely a horror story.

What band did you have the best time touring with?
That's tough. I'd have to say we've had some pretty fun nights with our friends in Akimbo. The Gaza/Ed Gein tour was also really fun.

What's the strangest thing you've been asked to autograph?
I signed a kid's shoes once.

How did you get started in music?
I started playing guitar when I was about 10 or 11...I was a rabid music fan from a young age and really wanted to start playing music myself.

Was there a song or album that inspired you to want to perform music?
Not necessarily. I was probably subconsciously inspired by all of the rock music I started listening to in the early '90s like Soundgarden, Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead, Weezer, etc.

Who are some current artists you admire?
There are so many artists out there making great, innovative music. Off the top of my head, I can say that the three of us listen to a lot of Chris Clark, Clipd Beaks, Nachtmystium, Health, Chromatics, Yip Yip, The Knife, Autechre, Converge, Negativa, Om, Radiohead, Jesu, Ocrilim, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Dim Mak, too many to name!

What's your single all-time favorite album?
I'd have to say Tool – Ænima, but Nine Inch Nails Downward Spiral is a close second.
