Chad Bowar: Do you remember the first show your band played?
Arkadius: Of course I do. I was only playing the guitar and we were so nervous that not one of the band wanted to go out on stage, so we kicked ourselves onto the stage. I was staring at the floor during the whole show and was glad when it was over, and now I cannot get my ass from the stage!

What’s the best show you’ve ever played? The worst?
The worst one was the mentioned Stuttgart show not only because of the smallest crowd ever, but I also played like (crap). There are of course a few best shows like our first Russian show in Moscow. Everything was perfect: the crowd, the sound and we as a band played really tight!

How did you get started in music?
When I was a kid I was listening to my mom’s tapes like Beatles or Elvis. I loved listening to music. As a teenager I get addicted to AC/DC and Metallica and at this time I felt the desire to start play guitar and being a guitar player in a band.

Was there a song or album that inspired you to want to perform music?
It was AC/DC’s Razors Edge. I loved this album and after I heard them performing the songs live I wanted to go on stage and rock like Angus Young.

What was your first band?
It was SuidAkrA, but at that time in 1994 we used to call the band Gloryfication, which sounds awful to us but we had no better name to choose. So the name changed, but the band still exists.

When did you decide music would be your career?
There was not really a decision. I mean we just love to write music and play it live. We never think about what’s coming next or which steps have an effect on our career or something. It was really a natural process.
