The eight live tracks are all taken from 2007's Dark Passion Play, which saw the introduction of Olzon, whose traditional vocal style is completely different than Turunen's operatic soprano.
Kicking off the set with "Bye Bye Beautiful," the band's farewell ode to Turunen, seems appropriate. From the single "Eva" to the epic "The Poet And The Pendulum," Nightwish is in excellent form, and Olzon's vocals sound great.
In addition to the live set, there are three additional tracks. One is a demo version of "Cadence Of Her Last Breath" along with a couple of b sides. The centerpiece of the DVD portion of the collection is the 40 minute documentary "Back In The Day...Is Now." There are also three music videos included.
Releasing a live album with Olzon so soon shows Nightwish's desire to move forward, plus the cash they'll make with the CD/DVD probably didn't hurt either. It's not an essential release, but a nice record of the beginning of Nightwish 2.0, plus the documentary is an interesting addition for fans.
