Guide Review - Fear Of Eternity - Spirit Of Sorrow

This album comes only a couple months after the release of their last one. I gave that one 2.5 stars, and this one is similar, but a definite improvement.

Keyboards are the primary instrument on Spirit Of Sorrow, with synth and piano sounds dominating the soundscape. There are other ambient sounds to fill in the gaps along with the usual guitar, bass and drums.

The vocals are in the usual black metal style: shrill, evil and raspy sounding. So what makes this album an improvement? The songs are much catchier and memorable. The hooks are stronger and the whole thing flows very well.

So if you want to chill out with something mellow yet evil, this is the ticket.
