Guide Review - Kataklysm - In The Arms Of Devastation
Let's start with the great guitar work of JF Dagenais. He is equally good at thrash metal riffs, lightning fast arpeggios and creative solos. The songs on the album are very diverse, incorporating many tempo changes, breakdowns, blast beats and hooky choruses.
I'm always partial to death metal vocalists that you can actually understand, and Maurizio Iacono is one of those. In addition to his powerful howl, Kittie vocalist Morgan Lander duets with him on a track.
Diverse and creative songs, great guitar work, hooky choruses and solid vocals. Those are the ingredients Kataklysm put together into one tasty album.
