Guide Review - Remembering Never - God Save Us
Remembering Never gets better with each album. One of the things that make them stand out from the crowded metalcore field is their lyrics. On this album they cover topics as varied as gay marriage, racism and politics. The lyrics are included, but you can actually understand Mean Pete's hardcore screaming vocals. On this album there are only a couple of melodic vocal parts and the rest is screaming.
Musically they may go a little overboard on the breakdowns, but there are some memorable metal guitar riffs and the drumming is stellar throughout. They also benefit from the outstanding production of Zeuss, who has the ability to bring out all their anger and aggression while still keeping everything technically sound.
