Guide Review - Sacrificium - Escaping The Stupor

Even though they are from Germany, Sacrificium sounds like they could be from Sweden. Their style of melodic death metal has a definite Swedish twist.

Their music is brutal, but still has a nice groove and plenty of variety. Double bass, blast beats and thrash riffs fly at you left and right. One nice thing is they vary the tempos so everything doesn't sound identical.

Sacrificium also has some vocal diversity. Lead vocalist Claudio A. Enzler has the typical death metal style, but there are also some backing vocals that are higher pitched in a more black metal style. It's not groundbreaking or terribly unique, but it is a solid death metal album.
