Guide Review - Sinamore - A New Day

This is the Finnish band Sinamore's debut full-length album, but they've been around since 1998 and have recorded several demos. That's why this CD sounds a lot more polished and developed than your typical debut.

Sinamore's style is dark and gothic, with mostly slower and mid-tempo songs. Keyboard fills surround the metal riffs and solos. Vocalist Mikko Heikkila has a rich and resonant voice with a good range, and sounds like Dave Gahan from Depeche Mode when he sings in his lowest register.

This is a refined and diverse album with a lot of commercial potential. If you're a fan of goth metal/rock bands like HIM and To/Die/For, you'll probably enjoy Sinamore.
