Guide Review - Whitesnake - The Definitive Collection

David Coverdale has one of the best voices in music. It's powerful and expressive with a bluesy influence. Most people remember Whitesnake from their big radio and MTV hits "Here I Go Again" and "Is This Love," but their body of work goes back long before that.

This album includes tracks from most of their studio albums beginning with 1978's Snakebite. In addition to the Whitesnake songs there's also the Coverdale/Page song "Pride And Joy" from their 1993 album that's included.

This album is a great chance to discover or rediscover the band's underrated early material and also enjoy their big hits. And it doesn't matter if the songs are slow or fast, bluesy or metal, Coverdale sounds great on all of them.
